Soy and Beeswax Candles. Clean Burning, Long Lasting!
Our beautiful hand poured, handmade soy and beeswax candles are made with 100% naturally sourced virgin soy wax and beeswax with a touch of organic coconut oil. Adding coconut oil helps candles burn more consistently and avoid tunneling. Our candles are non-toxic and burn much longer than paraffin candles which are often derived from petroleum products.
We craft our handmade candles with care and feature a crackling wood wick
that adds an extra element of warmth and comfort to any space. Each
candle is thoughtfully scented with a unique blend of complex
fragrances that creates an inviting atmosphere which will transport you
to a comfy seasonal space to relax in after a long day. Our handmade candles are
created in small batches.

The Story of Le Chef Pompon Soap & Candle Company
Le Chef Pompon is owned and operated by Patrick and Bonnie Ponsaty. French Master Chef Patrick Ponsaty was born and raised in the South of France and has two wonderful sons, Yohann and Martin. Bonnie has studied, used and formulated essential oils and aromatherapy products since 1992. For the past 25 years, she has created soap, candles and other household recipes using essential oils for people and pets to help them live healthier lives. Bonnie has two incredible children as well; Jessica and Griffin.Patrick and Bonnie live in San Diego, California. They share a creative passion for food and natural products that are prepared using seasonally available ingredients. They are dedicated to sourcing ingredients and materials from local farmers and merchants and have combined these passions to create naturally beautiful, wonderfully pure soap, candles and luscious face & body products.
"Pompon" was a
nickname given to Patrick's beloved late brother,
Thierry who was also a chef in the South of France.
We
honor him in the name of our company and the products he
has inspired.

Paraffin candles are made using chemicals and petroleum
products. Pesticides are heavily used on commercially grown
soybean crops. Is this what you are breathing every time you
burn a paraffin or soy candle?
Have you heard ...
Most
commercial soap isn't really soap at all! It's actually detergent
made from chemical hardeners, synthetic fragrances, ingredients, and
foaming agents. Squeaky clean means your skin's natural
barrier has been stripped away.
Can you believe ...
Our ancestors actually used animal fat (lard and tallow) to
soften skin and make candles! We're fairly sure the aroma of
animal fat was not pleasant, but it was economical ~ there was definitely a "no
waste" mentality.

are lovingly prepared using fresh, *natural ingredients, such as:
Olive Oil,
Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Shea and Cocoa Butter,
Mango Butter, Beeswax, Essential Oils.
* Some fragrances and aromas are simply not available - or easily available - as an essential oil. (Watermelon, Tobacco, Whiskey, Hyacinth, Lilies just to name a few.) Some of our soaps and candles are scented using Plant-based Fragrance Oils. The fragrance oils we use are created using a mix of aroma chemicals and natural ingredients like essential oils, extracts, and resins. We use only the finest fragrance oils from trusted, reliable and sustainable sources.
